Ryan Sahar is a Computer Science student at the University of Southern California, Viterbi School of Engineering, with a strong foundation in software engineering, algorithms, and data-driven solutions. With hands-on experience across internships, academic projects, and leadership roles, Ryan combines technical expertise with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
During his software engineering internships, Ryan improved the performance of large-scale Python dashboards, optimized backend systems, and developed user-focused websites supported by scalable PostgreSQL databases. His project work spans embedded systems, backend development, and collaborative programming platforms—demonstrating versatility across both hardware and software development.
Ryan has also contributed to the Silver Synth virtual synthesizer project as a C++ developer, where he applied his skills in audio software development, real-time digital signal processing, and virtual instrument design. This experience reflects his ability to bridge creativity and technology, delivering tools that empower musicians and sound designers.
Beyond technical projects, Ryan is passionate about mentorship and community. As a tutor, he supported Afghan refugee students in strengthening their academic confidence and skills across English, Math, and Science. This role highlighted his ability to communicate complex ideas effectively and foster meaningful growth in others.
